Aldo Max is a musician from Mexico City born in 1980. He studied composition at the National Institute of Fine Arts, as well as clarinet, saxophone and piano.
He started to make film scores for the Cinema school that was at the same building (CCC), while he was still studying. Since then he has composed scores for six feature films and three shorts. He also makes music for theatre and circus, where he also plays live instruments and electronics. His scores have been nominated to the Ariel Awards of the Mexican Academy of Cinema, in 2012 and 2020. He has been selected by Berlinale Talents program to attend Berlinale in 2016. Most of his works are full orchestral music recorded by Fames-project orchestra in Macedonia. He has also explored analogue and digital synthesis in some of his scores. In his work there are comedy, drama, action, and horror genders. He also made a documentary film as sound designer.
